Returning home from Europe a month ago was bittersweet. I was definitely ready for many of the conveniences that the US has to offer, like being able to go to stores during lunch hours and on Sundays (or really whenever I want because numerous stores are open 24/7), having a dishwasher and a clothes dryer, and using an oven with an actual temperature gauge and a stove with more than one working burner that I don't have to manually light every time I want to cook something... you know, all that good #firstworldproblem stuff. But I wasn't ready to stop traveling or to leave the laid-back and simplistic lifestyle that I'd grown to love and appreciate. Such is life though – all good things must come to an end, blah blah – and I'm really looking forward to starting a new adventure back here in America. Plus, I'll always have my memories, and when those start to fade, I can just glance through the 5,299+ pictures I took while abroad.
Anyway, enough about me; let's talk about the food! I bring to you from my French travels: Salted Caramel Macarons.Read More
